We are an asbestos surveying company and we follow the control of Asbestos regulations 2012. This is the duty to manage asbestos in non-domestic properties sets a legal requirement for owners and occupiers of a non-domestic building to have an asbestos survey and up to date asbestos register in place. These reports must form the basis of a detailed asbestos management plan that outlines how you intend to monitor and manage any ACMs that may be present within your premises or estate. If you are an employer or are self-employed and have some or all of the responsibility for conducting repairs upon your premises you may well be the “duty holder” in which case any legal responsibility for ensuring your asbestos survey has been conducted will rest with you. A key stage in managing asbestos is to identify the location, type, condition and extent of any Asbestos containing materials.
The survey should be in accordance with the HSE guidelines. There are two types of surveys that can be done. One of these is the management survey, this is a standard survey. Its purpose is to locate as far as reasonably practicable, the presence and extent of any suspect ACMs in the building which could be damaged or disturbed during normal occupancy, including foreseeable maintenance and installation, and access to their condition. Refurbishment and demolition survey is the other survey that can be done on your building. This survey is needed before any refurbishment or demolition work is carried out, the survey is used to locate and describe all ACMs in the area of refurbishment work or in the whole building if demolition is planned. The survey will be fully intrusive and involve destructive inspection, as necessary to gain access to all areas.
Once we have done the survey you can then take advantage of our removal service that we have to get rid of any ACMs that are present in your building. It is important to get all of the ACMs out of your building as asbestos is responsible for 4500 deaths each year. If you are interested in any of our services please get in contact with us and we will be able to help you with what you need.
