At ACL we are able to perform an asbestos survey of your premise/property. In the UK there are regulations you must follow if you are an owner of a non-domestic building, (this could be a factory or offices) then you have a duty to manage asbestos on your premises. This is to make yourself aware of the presence and ensure that the material doesn’t deteriorate and removing it if necessary. There are two types of surveys that can be completed upon premises. These are a management survey and a refurbishment & demolition survey. With the management survey its purpose is to locate as far as reasonably practicable, the presence and extent of any suspect ACMs in the building which could be damaged or disturbed during normal occupancy, including foreseeable maintenance and installation, and to access their condition.
Then with the refurbishment & demolition survey, you have this done before any demolition or refurbishment work is started. The survey will locate and describe all ACMs in the area where the refurbishment work will take place or in the whole building if demolition is planned. The survey will be fully intrusive and involves destructive inspection, as necessary to gain access to all areas, including those that may be difficult to reach. The type of survey we perform on your property will depend on client and property-specific requirements.
